"I learned an important lesson - if you want to win, you have to invest"

Agriculture does not "stand still", the farmers claim, and to face the challenges they do not stand still either, but invest to develop successful businesses.

In the north of the country, Tudor Ursachi works an area of agricultural land of over 200 hectares, on which he grows field crops every year. He believes in a prosperous future for agriculture in our country and invests, as much as possible, to ensure a profitable activity.

“I've only been in farming for a few years, but in that time I've learned an important lesson - if you want to win, you have to invest. Yes, it's a complicated year, which ruined a good part of the plans, but this whole year tells us that we should change something, the approach, the way we produce and what we want to achieve in the end", he explains Tudor Ursachi.

All said and done, the farmer is already thinking about implementing one of the practices of US farmers - intercropping to protect his soil - on his farm. And when it comes to investments, he made one as smart as possible – he bought a modern grain harvester.

“In order to invest in technologies and such, we need to adjust spending where possible. I, for example, opted for the purchase of a combine. The calculation is simple, besides the fact that I always had to call on harvesting services and spend money, I also had significant harvest losses because I had to wait for them to find time for me. To procure the combine, I turned to the company Mikro Kapital, and in just one day I obtained the loan. Now harvesting is much more efficient, but I can also make my plans in peace, without depending on anyone".

The farmer says with a smile, "In agriculture, when you go to get a loan and they ask you when you need it, you say yesterday."

"Investments must be made today, tomorrow may be too late. That's why I chose Mikro Kapital, it's a reliable partner that comes at the right time with the right offer. I have already paid off an agricultural loan, and the next investment will be the purchase of tillage machines adapted to the conditions. I bought a scarifier from that farmer's loan, a sunflower header is coming, and who knows, maybe more. Here, you can't make a plan to follow exactly the whole year, or problems arise in terms of plant protection or it is necessary to administer a different product, more effective under certain conditions. That's why you have to follow, and where it's necessary to intervene - I think this is one of the keys to success".

The farmer does not plan to expand the areas, but to optimize the production, investing more in modern technologies.

"This season we obtained good harvests, which we are satisfied with, but we also invested essentially in production. Thus, we also have results to measure. We want to develop and we will do it, little by little, but we will do it, otherwise it does not make sense to start an activity in agriculture".
